Reyalyn. San Fernando
September 5, 2015When I took this photo Reyalyn was playing by the seashore with a group of friends, as they do most evenings. They wade through the shallows, sometimes collecting shellfish for dinner. Once it’s dark, they head home. Reyalyn looks like her grandmother, Doris (see my previous post). The whole family has lived by fishing and farming for as far back as they can remember. Although Palawan is changing – and the sea is not as full of fish as it once was – they make do. Reyalyn has seven siblings and her father goes spear fishing all night, every night to support them.
